Where can I purchase the Spin in North America (USA and Canada)?
Currently, Spin is only offered at the Apple Stores within USA and Canada (Includes Apple store online).
If you are unable to purchase the product at Apple Stores or online at Apple, we apologize for the inconvenience.
But we assure you stock is on the way and to check frequently for new stock arriving at your local Apple store or online at Apple. -
Can I use SPIN with Windows?
SPIN is designed for Macintosh systems but can be used with Windows systems by using the MIDI mapping feature of ASIO4ALL and other DJ/DAW applications. Please note that Vestax does not support SPIN with Windows systems.

Can I use SPIN with DJ applications other than djay3?
SPIN can be used with other DJ applications if the application has MIDI mapping features. Please note that Vestax does not support SPIN used with other DJ applications and will be at your own risk.

What do I need besides SPIN and a Mac to DJ?
Powered Speakers (or an Power AMP + Speakers) and headphones. The powered speakers will play out your mix (connect to the output of SPIN) and the headphones are used to monitor (cue) your mix.

Can I play songs purchased from the iTunes store on Spin + djay3?
Songs purchased from the iTunes store(excluding plus) can be played,
with limits to the following features.- Recording
- pre-cuing
- Effected
- Scratching (when the audio qualty is low.)
- KEY adjust
- Transition (Echo,Backspin,Reverse)
- Mid EQ(High and Low are enabled)

Does the JOG wheel rotate like a turntable?
No. The jog wheel does not self-rotate, but rotates by hand to control your music.

Can the sensibility of the JOG wheel be adjusted?
Yes. The JOG wheel’s sensibility is adjustable with the sensibility adjust knob.

Is it difficult to setup djay?
djay3 bundled with Spin automatically configures all settings when Spin is connected to your Mac.

Can I use SPIN with MacBook Air?
Yes, MacBook AIR can be used with Spin if it has an Intel CPU and has more than 1GB of RAM.An external CD/DVD drive will be needed to install djay.

Can I record my mixes?
Yes. Not only can you record your mix but you can also import it directly to your iTunes library. Recording format is AAC and AIFF.

Can I save my play logs?
Yes. Play logs can be saved in PDF format or exported as playlist to iTunes.

What are the dimensions for Spin?
The size is (W) 354mm x (D) 240mm x (H) 35mm (45mm when knobs included).

I don’t have enough USB ports. Can I connect SPIN to a USB hub?
No. A USB hub does not provide enough power. Connect Spin to the USB port on your Mac.

Can I DJ without using iTunes?
djay3 operates in conjunction with iTunes. All songs you wish to play & mix should be organized in iTunes. However, djay3 also allows you to drag songs from Finder onto the turntables or use the integrated Queue to store songs from other locations.

Can I stream music played with SPIN using AirPort Express?
Your mix cannot be streamed live but you can stream your recorded mixes through iTunes.

Can the key of the song be changed without changing the playback speed?
Yes. djay3 has a high-quality Pitch-Shift effect in the Audio FX section which allows you to change the key of a song by down/up to 1 octave.
